An old proverb says that “It is better to give than receive.” Powerful emotions are produced by both giving and receiving. Receiving a bright smile, a tearful thank you, or giant warm embrace from someone that you have just helped cannot be measured in dollars and cents. The currency generated by the gratitude for giving finds its greatest value in our hearts and souls.
We believe that it is an honor to serve others. The genuine generosity of giving time, money, and materials really needs no reward. However, the reward of knowing that one has done their duty to help others in need is always rewarded with a sense of pride in oneself.
YALP realizes the sacrifices made by our donors and will always utilize gifts responsibly. We also understand that without the gifts bestowed upon us, we would not be able to continue to serve those who are in dire need of our programs.
